Making a Real Difference

Bay Federal Credit Union is committed to making a real difference in the financial lives of those in the communities we serve, and to building community through our community engagement programs. We support programs that create opportunities for our members, neighbors, and add to community vitality. Our award-winning employee volunteer program supports non-profits and causes. We are also actively engaged in local, regional, and national issues to advocate for our members’ best interests.

Bay Federal Credit Union is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that has grown to be the largest member-owned financial institution in the tri-county area. We serve the direct needs of diverse local communities with an exceptional focus and commitment to reliable, affordable, and convenient financial services.

Community Giving Guidelines

Eligible organizations should be non-profit 501(c)3, a public service organization or institution, or a not-for-profit organization. Each qualified request will be evaluated based on the credit union’s funding priorities and overall community benefit in the communities in which we serve.

All donation requests should be submitted through our online application form. Requests should be submitted at least 60 days in advance of the event, program, or purpose for which funds are being solicited. This enables both the recipient and the credit union adequate time for processing and benefits fulfillment. Special consideration will be given to opportunities where exposure and community engagement are high.

If Bay Federal Credit Union’s logo is used on marketing materials, the credit union reserves the right to review and approve artwork before it is printed or reproduced in any way.

Please note that Bay Federal Credit Union is unable to make contributions to individuals, controversial groups, events outside of our service region, or those initiatives not in alignment with the credit union’s goals.  We reserve the right to determine the amount and nature of the donation or sponsorship for each application, as well as the right to reject any request for any reason. Applicants will be notified of the decision of their requests in a timely manner.
