Michelle Berridge
Supervisory Committee Chairperson
As a proud member of Bay Federal Credit Union for more than 20 years, I am honored to be a part of the Supervisory Committee. My professional experience is derived from many different industries; movie and television production studios, event planning, manufacturing, beverage distribution, non-profits and technology. I began my career as an administrative assistant for a movie studio in Burbank then shifted to accounting when I relocated to Santa Cruz county. I moved up through the ranks of several organization’s finance and accounting departments to my current position as Controller for Alvarez Technology Group located in Salinas. I hold B.S. degree in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting from the University of Phoenix where I graduated with honors.
Bay Federal Credit Union has a reputation that is irrefutable and is part of our community’s positive changes. I want to assist in safeguarding this valuable reputation and continue the positive community involvement. As a member of the Supervisory Committee, I look forward to learning more about the banking industry and the challenges Bay Federal and other credit unions face.

I am a Human Resources Professional with more than 25 years of experience in Human Resource Management, Benefits and Training. I recently joined a new division of Central Network Retail Group (CNRG) in California – Outdoor Supply Hardware as their Regional Human Resources Manager. I also create handmade crafts as a sideline, and sell through Etsy and at other ad-hoc locations.
I am a long-time member and volunteer to local credit unions, because unlike banks they take a more personal interest in the needs of their members rather than implementing general policies and procedures with the assumption that “one size fits all.” I had been watching Bay Fed for several years after ending my previous volunteer job with another credit union due to personal relocation. I am honored to have been chosen to be a member and co-chair of the Supervisory Committee.
I am inspired by Bay Federal's focus on serving and investing in our local community, both as a business and as individual employees who volunteer for a variety of charitable events on their own time outside of work. Together, we are "making a real difference" in our members’ financial lives and in the community as a whole.

I love finance, numbers, and knowing what is happening to my money. Serving as a member of the Supervisory Committee is a privilege and a new adventure. I have over 20 years of experience serving on homeowners associations (HOAs). I am currently a Board Member of my HOA and I am active in residential-owned mobile home park associations. I also enjoyed a long career as a sports official for the American Softball Association. I enjoy gardening and daily walks with my dog Hazel.

I have been a proud volunteer of Bay Federal Credit Union since 1975, concurrently working professionally in business and education for over thirty years. After receiving a B.A. in Business Administration from Fresno State University and a Master’s Degree in Business Education from San Jose State University, I spent four years as a National Bank examiner for the Comptroller of the Currency. I went on to spend thirty years teaching business to high school students. I also serve as the Treasurer of High Street Community Church in Santa Cruz and Park Hall Trust in Ben Lomond.
I've been a Bay Federal member since 1972 and have always been impressed with Bay Federal's commitment to leadership in the community. I find it inspiring that so many employees volunteer their time to so many community organizations. Bay Federal also supports the community through education programs and consistent training of their employees to better serve our members. Being on the Supervisory Committee, overseeing the auditing of Bay Federal and attending Board meetings, I see how local professionals can serve through their leadership and dedication.
I am consistently amazed by how many quality individuals commit their time and energy to help our members and their financial needs.

I am a business owner, entrepreneur, and investor. I started my first company almost 20 years ago, which is now well known among the Bay Area's leading construction professionals as a trusted place for specialty construction materials. I’m proud of having been involved in helping supply some of the biggest construction projects in the Bay Area over the past two decades. In 2013, I started an investment company that allows me to explore a variety of different business opportunities including e-commerce and real estate. I have a passion for learning as well as sharing what I’ve learned with others.
I have been a proud member of Bay Federal Credit Union for over 20 years now and I admire the commitment they have made to the community they serve Joining the Supervisory Committee is a great honor and an exciting in-depth look into how a successful credit union operates. I hope my experiences in the business world can help Bay Federal achieve where it needs to go next. I also hope my experience as being part of the supervisory committee helps me become a better business leader and informed credit union member. My family has been in Watsonville since the late 1940’s and we all agree that the Central Coast is an amazing place to live.

I have been a loyal member of Bay Federal Credit Union for 20 years. My experience started when I received an auto loan from them after I moved here from China as a graduate student at the University of California, Santa Cruz. That loan started a great experience at what I now call my favorite local financial institution. I love the Credit Union’s philosophy and values, and how Bay Federal gives back to the community.
A resident of Scotts Valley, I received by Doctorate of Philosophy in Astronomy & Astrophysics from UC Santa Cruz in 2003, and successfully passed all three levels of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) exams in 2005. I am also on the Board of Directors for Pacific Collegiate School in Santa Cruz. As a principal-level Information Technology professional and leader, I look forward to contributing my technology and cyber-security skills to the oversight of Bay Federal. I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to my community, and to learn from my excellent cohorts on the Supervisory Committee at the Credit Union.
