Capitola, CA – May 2, 2022 – Bay Federal Credit Union has introduced David Segura as the newest member of its Home Loans department. Mr. Segura will serve members as a Home Loan Consultant, working primarily out of the Credit Union’s Watsonville Branch.
Mr. Segura, who has been a part of the financial industry for more than 30 years, will use his expertise to connect members with the best financing options available to them. His focus will be to help members from application through funding, explaining the mortgage process and keeping them in the loop with regular updates.
Prior to joining the Credit Union, Mr. Segura was employed by Bank of America for nearly 15 years. Among his responsibilities as Vice President of Community Lending (2016-2021), he assisted first-time home-buyers in Salinas and Watsonville.
“My background allows me to really understand the needs of our members so I can best help them,” Mr. Segura said. “I try to deliver advice in a very member-centric way. Every member has a different need, and I really pride myself on putting my knowledge to work for them.”
Mr. Segura has also held positions at Monterey Credit Union, Ishikawa & Associates, Countryside Financial Services, Ideal Mortgage, Transamerica, and Wells Fargo.
He was born and raised in Watsonville, where he lives with his wife, daughter, and son. When he’s not in the office, he runs local hobby businesses, catering gourmet pizza and Mexican food, as time allows.
