Terms and Conditions
Credit Union – Bay Federal Credit Union, headquartered at 3333 Clares Street, Capitola, CA 95010.
Credit Union Employees and Officials – All regular and contract employees, managers, board directors, supervisory committee members, volunteers, associates, and others maintaining an employment or volunteer relationship with Bay Federal Credit Union.
Sweepstakes – The Bay Federal Credit Union eStatements Sweepstakes occurring during the period between Monday, July 1, 2024, and Saturday, August 31, 2024, as described in this document.
Member – A Bay Federal Credit Union member in good standing (as defined by the Credit Union) who, during the Sweepstakes, maintains a Bay Federal membership account with a balance of at least $5.00; or an authorized signer on the Bay Federal membership account of such a Credit Union member in good standing.
eStatements User – A Member who possesses access to eStatements via online banking and enrolls in electronic statements during the period of the Sweepstakes.
Entry Blank – A form or written request that, when completed and returned to the Credit Union by a Member or Individual over 18, entitles that Member or Individual to one Sweepstakes Entry.
Sweepstakes Entry – Each qualified eStatement enrollment and completed Entry Blank received by the Credit Union during the Sweepstakes period. Entry is valid:
- For enrollment to receive account statements electronically on the day the Credit Union receives the enrollment for electronic statements.
- For Entry Blanks, on the business day the Credit Union physically receives the completed Entry Blank.
Winner – The Member or Individual responsible for the Entry selected during the Sweepstakes period.
Eligibility – Member must meet the criteria set forth in these Sweepstakes Rules and must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the Sweepstakes. A joint owner over the age of 18 will be entered into the Sweepstakes during the Sweepstakes Period on behalf of the primary member on that account, if the primary member is under 18. Eligibility based on eStatement enrollment is limited to first-time enrollees in electronic statements. Credit Union Employees and Officials are not eligible to win; however, family members of Employees/Officials are eligible to win so long as the individual family member is not a joint owner/authorized signer on the membership savings account linked to the eStatements enrollment that results in a Winning Entry.
Sweepstakes Period – The sweepstakes begins at 12:00 AM on Monday, July 1, 2024 and ends at 11:59 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
Prize – The amount of the Prize awarded will be determined by the following:
- THREE winners will receive a family level membership to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Valued at $295 membership includes: Two designated adults, your children or grandchildren (5-21), and access to Aquarium Live, a series of exclusive virtual events just for members.
Winner Selection – Using an automated process, three (3) Entries will be randomly selected from all eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes period at the conclusion of the Sweepstakes. Eligible Members or Individuals are limited to winning one (1) Prize during the Sweepstakes period. If the Entry selected is for a previous Winner, then Entry will be disqualified and a replacement Entry will be selected. Winners will be announced within five (5) business days following the day the winning Entry is selected, with the Winner announcements occurring on or by Friday, September 13, 2024. The Prize will be credited to the Winner via Email on the same day that the winner is announced. If a Winner is not a Bay Federal Credit Union Member, the prize will be distributed via Email. Winners need not be present to win, and will be notified via telephone or mail within 15 days of the Winner announcement. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate Winner.
Winner Responsibilities – All local, state, and federal taxes and fees apply and are the Winner’s sole responsibility. The Credit Union will not replace any lost or stolen prizes once in the Winner’s possession. Winners release the Credit Union of any liability incurred in connection with acceptance of a Prize. No transfer or substitution of Prizes allowed. To obtain a written notification of the winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope with a written request to: Bay Federal Credit Union, Attention: eStatements Sweepstakes, 3333 Clares Street, Capitola, CA 95010. Requests postmarked after Monday, September 30, 2024, will not be honored.
Limitations of Liability – Acceptance of a Prize constitutes a release of Bay Federal Credit Union, its Officials and Employees, from all responsibility to the Winner.
General Terms and Conditions – By entering this contest, each participant agrees to these rules, and the decision of the Credit Union, will be final. Bay Federal Credit Union, their Officials and Employees, affiliates, contractors, and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be held liable for: (1) late, lost, misdirected, incorrect, or incomplete entries. (2) any equipment malfunction, such as Internet, network, server, telephone, etc. (3) any injuries, loss, or damage caused or created as a result of a Prize, acceptance of the prize, or use of a Prize. Bay Federal Credit Union reserves the right to modify this Sweepstakes and these rules at any time in the event of unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances.
